A group of street vendors are harnessing the power of social media to rally the community to help those affected by wildfires in Arcadia, California.
Jimmy Medina Jr said the TikTok live broadcast helped him buy supplies and sparked generous donations.
“With the power of TikTok, all TikTok viewers sent us donations… With their donations, we were able to buy all the ingredients,” said Medina Jr.
A donation center has been set up in the Santa Anita Park parking lot where volunteers are helping those in need.
