In the semifinals Littler beat Michael Smith 10-5, while Humphries beat Michael van Gerwen 10-5, setting up another thrilling repeat of the World Championship final.
Littler then lifted the roof at the O2 Arena with a nine-darter in Game 11 of the final. The 17-year-old wrote his name into the history books once again by finding the perfect leg alongside Phil Taylor. The biggest stage.
This helped him to an 11-7 win over Humphries, finding the sheer brilliance to beat the man who has now always been fighting for the title.
Humphries was generous in defeat and enjoyed another great battle with his namesake, confident that they were the two best fighters in the world.

“I tried to stay there but there was a huge wind blowing on stage all evening so it was very difficult to deal with. That’s a credit to Luke, he managed it very well all night,” Humphries said.
