Millions of people around the world are celebrating the start of the Lunar New Year with festivities from Hong Kong to Buenos Aires.
Lunar New Year, which coincides with the first new moon of the lunar calendar, is a 15-day festival held annually between January 21 and February 20.
According to the 12 zodiac signs, this year is the year of the Fire Horse.
