Luxury safari camp plans for Zambia's Kafue National Park: Travel Weekly

Currently in the early stages of development, Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp is a luxury camp scheduled to open in Kafue National Park, Zambia, in early 2025. The new camp is owned by Agro Safari in partnership with Minor Hotels.

Located on the banks of the Kafue River, the camp features 12 spacious tents, including the 600 square meter Presidential Villa. Suspended 3.5 meters above the ground, the location offers guests an immersive wilderness experience with unobstructed access to bush and rivers for wildlife.

Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp is located between two islands and features a spa and wellness area, swimming pool, restaurant and bar, lounge and traditional African boma. The camp aims to provide an intimate and exclusive retreat that embodies luxury in the wilderness.

There's a lot to do

Activities at the camp include nature-focused experiences such as canoeing, fishing, bird watching, and boat safaris. Each luxury tent features a plunge pool and skippered boat, strategically placed to maximize privacy and immerse you in the surrounding scenery.

One of Africa's largest protected areas, Kafue National Park covers nearly 9,000 square miles and boasts a diverse range of wildlife and birds. The camp is easily accessible, about 3 hours from Victoria Falls or Lusaka, and is also accessible by helicopter.
