At our new location in the northern Serengeti, Roving Bushtops is just a 15-minute drive from the Mara River and Kogatende Airstrip. This strategic location provides visitors with an excellent vantage point from which to observe the dramatic river crossings that are a hallmark of the migration spectacle. Additionally, the camp’s proximity to the Bologonja region increases the chances of rhino sightings.

Roving Bushtops alternate between two locations. From December to March the camp will be located at Kusini in the southern Serengeti. From June to October we will occupy our new northern base. These adjustments allow the migratory camp to closely follow the migratory patterns of the region’s iconic wildlife.

Eco-friendly accommodation

The camp’s eight mobile units, called “Rovers”, are solar-powered and carefully designed to have minimal environmental impact. Fresh water is transported from designated water sources to avoid putting a strain on local resources, and waste management adheres to strict sustainability protocols, including composting and recycling plans for biodegradable materials.

Roving Bushtops’ new northern location makes it easier to combine with other Bushtops properties. Located about a 40-minute game drive from the permanent Serengeti Bushtops camp, guests can experience both Tanzania’s offerings. Visitors can also conveniently include the Mara Bushtops, located just across the border from Kenya, on their itineraries.
