Malawi’s election committee officer warned the political parties not to declare the election victory early for the official results.
Annabel Mtalimanja’s warnings argued that two major presidential candidates, Lazarus Chawara and his predecessor Peter Muta Rica, won the polls on Tuesday.
At a press conference on Thursday, Mtalimanja said that only the committee was mandatory to announce the results.
