The French appealed to two thieves who promised to share the € 500,000 (£ 413,664) award to buy the Jackpot winning scratch card using a stolen credit card.
The person who introduced himself to Jean-David E said he is dealing with the thief because the money will be seized by the authorities on the RTL radio.
“I wouldn’t have won without me, but I wouldn’t have bought this ticket without them. I want to suggest to share them. ”
According to Jean-David, no one has come up with the championship ticket blocked by Française DES JEUX (FDJ), the operator of the French national lottery.
Jean-David found that a backpack with wallets was stolen in a car parked in the center of Toulus on February 3.
After calling a bank to block a credit card, he found that € 52.50 (£ 43.47) was spent on a non -contact payment at Tabac Des Thermes, a nearby corner store. Jean-David went to the store to see if the staff had seen suspicion or whether one of his belongings were abandoned in the store.
“My customer has a conversation with the cashier and finds that two homeless people use their credit cards to buy cigarettes and several scratch cards.”
The two told the cashier that they won 500,000 euros jackpots from one of the cards and plans to go to FDJ to claim victory.
According to Jean-David, the cashier found that the two men’s actions were suspicious because they could not enter one of the cards they tried to buy.
After a conversation with the cashier, Jean-David contacted the local police and contacted the FDJ to warn the game company.
According to Jean-Davide, the police are now more likely to capture victory and are likely to be arrested when a thief approaches FDJ.
Scratch card winners are coming to the deadline for 30 days to claim victory from the date of purchase, and the deadline for Jean-Davide and his collaborators.
His lawyer Debuisson offered a pardon. “My customer is not looking for a prosecution because he is very pleased with the stolen credit card in this situation. This is also a miracle opportunity for them to live a new life for themselves.”
Jean-david, 40, said, “If they don’t contact my lawyer, they can’t use tickets. The 40-year-old Jean-David told RTL.
“With that money, I am ready to come to the agreement,” he added.
The FDJ and Toulouse police approached for comment.
