A mild earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitude occurred in Iran on Tuesday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The attack occurred about 40 miles east of Tehran at 11:46 p.m. Iranian time, according to agency data.

Seismologists may revise reported earthquake magnitudes as they review available data. Additional information collected about the earthquake may allow USGS scientists to update shaking severity maps.
