A moderately strong magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Mexico on Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The attack occurred at 9:19 a.m. Central Time about a mile southeast of Socoteacá de Leon, Mexico, agency data show.
Seismologists may revise reported earthquake magnitudes as they review available data. Additional information collected about the earthquake may allow USGS scientists to update shaking severity maps.
