The latest leaderboard from this year’s opening major, The Masters, held at Augusta National in Georgia.
Rory McIlroy became the defending champion after defeating Justin Rose in last year’s playoffs. He became the sixth player in history and the first since Tiger Woods to achieve a career Grand Slam.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the pre-tournament favorite to win his third tournament despite entering this week having not ranked in the top 10 in his last three PGA Tour starts, while the likes of Bryson DeChambeau and Xander Schauffele are expected to put up impressive performances.
Cameron Young will be expected to emulate Scheffler and McIlroy from the past two years after winning the Masters following his win at The Players, while Rose, Matt Fitzpatrick and Tommy Fleetwood will all be hoping to become just the third Briton to win a major at Augusta National.
91 players participated in this week’s major tournament, the first time in four months in men’s golf history. The Masters will be followed by the PGA Championship (May 14-17), the US Open (June 18-21), and the Open (July 16-19).
