She walked down the runway and Akanksha and I both gasped in surprise. Who was the incredibly beautiful woman who walked Marlan Breton’s runway at New York Fashion Week?
We’ve been touring many of NYFW’s fashion shows all week, but nothing we’ve seen has left us breathless like this. And we’ve seen a lot. I didn’t know it at the time, but my jaw hit the floor and I realized this ethereal, brilliant person was May Musk. Elon Musk I happen to be one of her children!
Just a few days ago, almost two years later, Elon tweeted about his mom. I followed him on Twitter and Instagram and of course I wanted to see what he had to say about his mom. If he became like this, I wondered how great his mother would be.
When I looked at the photo in the article, it seemed like a vague memory came to mind. It felt like I had seen it somewhere before. But of course I was convinced I was hallucinating because how is that possible? The article then said Maye walked the runway for fashion designer Malan Breton “last year.” So naturally, without checking the date stamp on the article, I assumed it was 2016 and felt ridiculously sorry for myself for being a full year early on Malan’s show in 2015.
I forgot all about it until Akanksha saw my retweet and pointed out that the article was actually from 2016. At that point I dropped everything and went through my archived hard drives and I’m still giddy to find a photo of her from that runway show! Who would think?! Argh! As expected!
