
Rosina Food Products Inc., West Seneca, N.Y., is recalling 9,462 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) frozen meatballs after consumers complained the products contained metals, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
RTE Fully Cooked Frozen Meatballs product was produced on July 30, 2025. FSIS is concerned that because of the long shelf life, consumers may be leaving this product at home.
The following products that are being recalled can be identified by the following label information:
- A 32-ounce printed poly film bag package of frozen, fully cooked “Bremer FAMILY SIZE ITALIAN STYLE MEATBALLS” contains “approximately 64 meatballs per package” with a “BEST BY” date of “10/30/26” and a timestamp printed on the back of the label between 17:08 and 18:20.
The recalled products have the establishment number “EST. 4286B” inside the USDA inspection mark. The product has a shelf life of 15 months and has been delivered to Aldi supermarkets nationwide.
The issue was discovered after FSIS received consumer complaints about metal fragments found within the product.
There are no confirmed reports of injuries resulting from consumption of this product. Anyone concerned about injury should contact their health care provider.
Consumers who have purchased the product in question are advised not to consume the product.
