Crowds of people took over Mexico City’s Zocalo Square on Sunday to break the Guinness World Record for the largest soccer lesson.
The city’s main square became an open-air training ground where 9,500 people practiced soccer drills under the guidance of instructors.
Organizers said the turnout surpassed the previous Guinness World Record, which drew more than 1,000 participants for a soccer class in Seattle in June 2025.
This attempt comes as the country prepares to host the opening match of the FIFA World Cup in June.
