Mitchell Lawrie (15) continues historic Lakeside run to reach semi-finals of WDF World Championships | dart news

Teen sensation Mitchell Lawrie continued his historic run at Lakeside on Friday night, advancing to the semi-finals with a resounding 4-0 win over Francois Schweyen.

The pair traded heavy checks in the first set, with Lawrie hitting a 16-darter in the deciding leg.

It was much more plain sailing for Lawrie, taking the second and fourth sets 3-0 and finishing the third set at 124.

The Scot, who only turned 15 last month, has once again averaged over 90, this time scoring 92.06, and will meet fellow teenager Jenson Walker in the last four.

Lawrie became the youngest player to win a match at the iconic stadium, breaking Luke Littler’s record set at Lakeside in 2022 when he reached the round of 32 at the age of 15.
