MSC Cruises will replace the Red Sea winter with a Canary Islands season in 2024-2025.
MSC Opera will sail on a seven-night itinerary to six ports of call from November 3 to March 16, 2025.
The route will also offer new itineraries during the season, including flexible embarkation options and extended port stays. The ship sails from Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Tenerife to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura, Funchal in Madeira, Santa Cruz de la Palma in La Palma and Arrecife in Lanzarote. We plan to sail round and round with port calls.
Flexible embarkation options are available, sailing from Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Sundays, Las Palmas on Mondays, Funchal on Thursdays or Fridays and Arrecife on Saturdays.
The seasonal sailing in the Canary Islands replaces winter plans in the Red Sea, which MSC canceled due to attacks on its ships by Houthi rebels in Yemen. Several cruise lines have canceled sailings there.
Correction: This is not the first time MSC Cruises has docked ships in the Canary Islands.
