Last year, Jewish Power leader and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir was one of a handful of ministers who voted against the US-brokered Gaza ceasefire agreement. The agreement returned the last remaining hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees. About 250 of them were sentenced to life or longer in prison for killing Israelis. He said he opposed any hostage agreements.
