There is a secret I have been hiding for over two years. I have been designing a clothing line for girls who like to dress up like me. I admit it. I knew this was going to be huge. But the amount of effort, tears, and money that actually went into creating this line was much greater than I could have imagined. But I still get goosebumps every time I see my name (my middle name is Louise!) in the tag. I honestly can’t believe it. i did it.

To say I was obsessed with every detail would be a huge understatement. Now I know what you’re thinking… It takes two and a half years to design five looks? Well, not exactly. Over the years I have actually designed many more pieces. But because the line is completely self-funded, it wasn’t possible to launch all of the products at once. and… Your daughter got a serious reality check with some of the additions I added to the piece. It was expensive to make, and consequently expensive to sell. But it was all a learning process.

Why am I telling you all this? Because this blog has always been a place for me to share what I like, both the good and the bad. So why not be completely honest about the process? It was really hard at times. I’ve dealt with some shady characters along the way (more on that later), but I’ve also met a lot of awesome people who generously shared their guidance and knowledge and helped me get to this moment where I can finally share these first five looks with you.
