Sunita “Suni” Williams and Barry “Butch” Wilmore have returned to Earth after staying at the International Space Station (ISS) for nine months. BOEING STARLINER SPACECRAFT’s leakage and throat problems lasted much longer than originally planned.
Williams and Willmore popped out of SPACEX Dragon Capsule in Mexico Bay after returning from 17 hours of ISS from ET at 5:57 pm on Tuesday.
The problems of BOEING’s star liner and the way of politicizing the return of astronauts by Spacex CEO Elon Musk represents the end of an unfamiliar intestine in the history of astronauts.
Williams and Wilmore first started in ISS as part of an important mission in June 2024 that BOEING attempts to compete with SPACEX. Aviation Behemoth signed a contract with SPACEX in 2014 and watched the astronaut to the ISS of NASA.
SpaceX performed its first crew flight with CREW Dragon SpaceCraft in the early Covid Pandemic in 2020. Boeing’s star liner project was taken to an excess and delay.
The flight in June 2024 helped Boeing to see it all. The goal was to send Williams and Willmore to ISS and bring them home after a short stay. But Star Liner experienced a problem before docking ISS. After the astronaut finally boarded, NASA and BOEING conducted a test for several weeks before deciding to bring the star liner again.
NASA quickly started cooperation with SPACEX in plans to bring Willams and Willmore again. Before and after, they decided to take the duo home by early 2025 and wait for the ISS not to be a short staff.
In recent months, however, Musk has proposed to bring astronauts home earlier (without providing evidence), and former President Cho Viden refused to propose because it would help political rival Donald Trump.
BIDEN’s former manager and deputy director said that the space agency did not know any proposal. CNN claimed that Tuesday, White House officials did not know any proposal.
