Natural handmade baby powder

When I first became a mother, I began to question the ingredients of everything I put in the baby. Unfortunately, there was no good answer to most of my questions. One product I was surprised was the baby powder.

Baby powder problem…

It’s innocent, but baby powder often has hidden ingredients. Until recently, companies such as Johnson & Johnson used Talcum Powder as the main ingredients of baby powder. The problem is that talc is generally contaminated with cancer that causes asbestos. After 57,000 lawsuits, J & J recently replaced the talc on corn starch in the baby powder without talc.

There are still some problems with sensitive skin, but despite new formulations. There is a fragrance related to allergen problems and endocrine confusion. Or Benzul Salisil Rate, which is risk of allergies and immune toxicity. But only if it is a powder form.

When there was a young child, I wanted a safe personal care product for the baby’s skin. Thankfully, there are safe natural baby powder and baby products on the bottom of the baby.

Make a baby powder made at home

I found alternatives I bought in some good stores, such as organic stores, such as the Organic of Eraorganics and Little Twig Baby Powder. But I wanted to find a good DIY version. I doubted if I could make it. I will be able to save money and customize it.

Unlike body care recipes that require a lot of attempts before finding my favorite recipe, this was relatively simple. Only natural powder of type and optional herb or essential oil.

Baby powder

I used arrowhead powder or organic corn starch as the base and added a floating floor by adding powdered hubs such as chamomile and gold water. Some recipes are mixed with kaolin clay, baking soda or tapioca starch. I also experimented with adding a few drops of chamomile essential oils and actually worked well. Tea tree or lavender essential oils are a good substitute for chamoma.

I found this easiest when I kept it in powdered sugar shakers. I also packs homemade baby powder with a recipe card that makes more things when I give it as a baby gift.

If you are worried about contacting your baby’s delicate skin, consider making your own baby powder.

  • If you are using chamomile or gold water flowers, powder the powder on a blender or coffee grinder (see the tip below).

  • It can be easily used by mixing ground flowers or essential oils with the arrowhead powder and stored in glass bottles, spice bottles or sugar shakers.

You can add a few tablespoons of arrowhead powder to the coffee grinder with flowers and essential oils. If you mix together in this way, the ingredients are better integrated and avoid lumps. Wait for the powder to precipitate before opening the lid!

How to use Baby Powder

Baby powder is more than just a baby! Women have been using it for decades as part of the skin care routine. Body powder helps to absorb the sweat and moisture of the skin. It is also helpful to keep the baby’s floor dry to prevent diaper rash. And adding a calm herb can help your skin recover faster.
