
Caribbean hotels continued their strong performance in 2026, with occupancy rates increasing in the first four months of the year and regional resorts continuing to record higher room rates and stronger revenue performance, according to new data from hotel analytics firm STR.
The latest figures show particularly strong momentum in March and April, as hotels across the region continue to expand their inventory as new resorts and additional rooms come online.
March saw the highest occupancy rates of the year, with Caribbean hotels taking the top spot. Market share 79.6%consolation 6.3% Compare to March 2025.

The region also continued to generate higher room rates in the first four months of the year.

Demand across the Caribbean remained resilient ahead of the summer travel season, supported by continued air traffic growth from the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Several major airlines have added new Caribbean flights and routes in recent months, particularly to destinations with luxury and all-inclusive resort sectors.
STR’s Caribbean census has just concluded. 2,068 hotel facilities and approximately 267,574 rooms April 2026.
