New flights to connect Anguilla and Tortola

One can spend several days in Long Bay. Then another few more in Long Bay.

A new direct flight will arrive in Anguilla later this month, creating a direct air link with the British Virgin Islands.

From April 17th Trans Anguilla Airlines Start the service between Anguilla Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport and Terrence B. Letsom International Airport, Tortola. According to Caribbean Journal, the route operates three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a scheduled flight time of approximately 45 minutes.

New services do not need to connect via: Princess Juliana International Airport, Saint MaartenThis was the default routing option between the two islands.

Simpler local connections

Travel between Anguilla and the British Virgin Islands usually requires an additional leg through St. Maarten, often adding several hours to the short geographical distance. The new route creates a direct option between two destinations, reducing total travel time and simplifying travel.

Shorter connection times make it easier to connect two islands on the same trip. Travelers spending time in Tortola or the surrounding islands can now fly directly to Anguilla instead of coordinating inter-island transfers through a third destination.

Launched ahead of Anguilla’s summer season

The timing of the new route coincides with Anguilla’s summer travel period, when the island’s calendar is packed with a series of long-running events.

The new flights also expand options for travelers who use Tortola as an entry point into the region. Now with non-stop service in place, Anguilla has become more accessible for itineraries that include the British Virgin Islands.

The initial fares for the route are set as follows: $209 one way and Round trip $418It operates 3 days a week.
