Ecotourism pioneer Ker & Downey Botswana will expand its luxury offerings with the opening of boutique hotel Grays Eden in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta.
Grays Eden, which opens July 15, is a collaboration between Ker & Downey and Maun residents Sandrine and Sam Morris. This 12-room hotel is located on the banks of the Tamalakane River and promises a quiet, luxurious experience for travelers visiting the Okavango Delta.
The hotel's design blends modern minimalism with natural elements, including thatched roofs, high ceilings and large verandas overlooking the river. Guests can choose from five individually decorated villas and seven cottages with a bright and airy feel. Amenities include ceiling fans, a fireplace and a spacious en-suite bathroom.
The on-site restaurant serves local cuisine prepared by renowned chefs. A wine cellar, swimming pool and in-room spa services are also available. Free airport transfers are also available to guests.
With this opening, Ker & Downey Botswana will have five camps in the country. The remainder are within the Okavango Delta (Kanana and Shinde/Shinde Enclave/Shinde Footsteps), Moremi Wildlife Sanctuary (Okuti) and central Kalahari (Dinaka). Find out more on the Ker & Downey Botswana website.
