More Family Collection has added to its exclusive use properties with the addition of Marataba Residence. Located within South Africa's malaria-free Marakele National Park, this new lodge offers families a private safari experience within the Waterberg Mountains.
Located in a remote corner of an 88-square-mile reserve in northeastern South Africa, Marataba Residence guarantees exclusive wildlife encounters, including the Big Five. Guests enjoy dedicated field guides and safari vehicles for maximum safari flexibility.

The residence features four independent bedrooms and a main lodge with lounge, bar, dining area, swimming pool and fireplace overlooking the Matlabas River. Families can enjoy special activities for children, including a nature treasure hunt, dolphin identification, and stargazing.
For Robert More, CEO and trustee of the More Family Collection, this is precious time together.
“Families need to spend time together to reconnect, and there’s no better place than nature to pause and feel recharged,” he said. “It’s a memorable African adventure experience where guests can set their own pace and stay put.”

Between April and September, travelers also have the opportunity to participate in rhino conservation. During this experience, they can join conservationists in rhino veterinary interventions and directly support efforts to protect the rhino species. Each intervention provides hands-on experience with a rhino for 30 minutes to 2 hours. Once the rhinos are located and tranquilized, guests actively participate in activities such as wearing tracking collars. Harsh sound; Collection of blood and tissue samples; and microchipping of the horns. This experience does not include dehorning intervention.
This new exclusive use option adds to More Family Collection’s growing portfolio of luxury properties in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
