New Oklahoma law increases sales of unpasteurized raw milk

Posted Date:

Oklahoma dairy farms can now sell more than 10 times more raw, unpasteurized milk directly to consumers.

Governor Kevin Stitt signed Senate Bill 2028 into law in late May. The new law increases the monthly limit on direct raw milk sales from 100 gallons to 1,500 gallons and allows producers to advertise raw milk products sold from the farm. Sales of raw milk must continue to occur on the farms where the milk is produced. It cannot be sold in retail stores or farmers markets.

The Republican governor strongly supports Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Make America Health Again movement. Kennedy often pushed raw milk as a healthy choice despite the known risks.
