New Wilderness Safaris luxury lodge arrives in Rwanda reserve: Travel Weekly

Wilderness Safaris has revealed plans for an intimate new luxury lodge in Rwanda. Scheduled to open in September in the exclusive Bisate Reserve, the lodge will feature just four villas and, according to Wilderness Safaris, will continue the company's commitment to luxury conservation tourism in the region.

Located on the edge of an ancient volcano, this lodge boasts views of the surrounding volcanoes in nearby Volcanoes National Park. The lodge grounds were transformed from farmland to a lush forest through the planting of nearly 100,000 trees, and guests can participate in reforestation activities and visit community projects.

“It has been very rewarding to work closely with the Rwanda Development Board and other partners to grow our positive impact in Rwanda since Bisate first opened its doors in 2017,” said Rob Baas, Managing Director of Wilderness Rwanda. “Bisate continues to be well-received both nationally and internationally. We are very proud to announce our expansion plans and begin construction of Bisate Reserve, which will take our customer experience even further.”

Featured experiences include expertly guided gorilla treks, nature walks through private reserves and bird watching trips. The four villas blend local design traditions with modern luxury.
