Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill said he wants to leave the franchise after failing to make the NFL playoffs.
Hill did not play in the final quarter of a 32-20 loss to the New York Jets on the final weekend of the regular season.
The 30-year-old, who missed out on the post-season for the first time in his career, told reporters: “I have to do what’s best for me and my family.

Hill still has two years left on his contract extension, originally signed for 2022.
The Georgia native had the Dolphins’ worst season in 2024, throwing for 959 yards and six touchdowns.
Against the Jets, he had just two catches, his third game of the season with two or fewer catches.
Hill endured a disappointing 2024 NFL season.
This disappointing campaign stands in stark contrast to his first two seasons with the team, where he amassed at least 1,700 yards and 119 catches in 2022 and 2023.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said after the Jets game that Hill’s absence was not injury-related, adding that he did not want to discuss the player’s comments until he had spoken with Hill.
“It would be unfair to equate emotion with emotion,” McDaniel said.
“When we fight for an extension as soon as the game is over and the season ends, and I fully believe we have the ability to do that, I’m not going to make a hasty judgment on something that’s a little bit cloudy, in the heat of the moment for a number of reasons.”
