Nicki Minaj's Manchester Collaborative Live performance canceled after Amsterdam arrest

Nicki Minaj fans were left furious after the American rapper's performance at the Manchester Co-op Live Stadium was canceled at the last minute following her arrest at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Dutch police said Minaj was arrested on suspicion of exporting drugs, but was fined and allowed to continue her trip.

But she failed to arrive in Manchester in time for Saturday's concert. Her concert was postponed as around 20,000 fans were waiting for her to take her stage.

They included Imogen Pope, 18, from Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, who said she was “pretty energetic”.

“I spent £150 on tickets and booked a day off, and we sat there for about three hours waiting and then were told it wasn’t happening,” she said. “I am ruined.”

Ellis Day, 17, from Cheshire, said: “I'm absolutely shocked.”

“We came here and prepared all day to see this happen.

“It’s really disappointing to have our hopes up and spend money, only to be told at the last minute that she won’t turn up.”
