AFP through Getty/ReutersThe two major opposition leaders in Nigeria joined the new party to challenge President Bola Tea and his ruling party in the next election.
Atiku Abubakar and Peter OBI chose the African Democratic Parliament (ADC) from each party (PDP) and Labor Party (LP) and chose a new political house.
This is one of the biggest shakes in Nigerian politics since the end of military rule in 1999.
Some political heavyweight players in Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress (APC) also threw weight after the formation.
Why did they join power?
This announcement is the peak of a series of talks between leaders who set up united fronts, rather than sharing the right to vote in the 2027 election.
TINUBU won 37%elections in the 2023 election after dividing 25%of OBIs with Abubakar, which had 29%of opposition supporters.
After the party chose Abubakar as presidential candidate, Obi was out of PDP.
David Mark’s temporary chairman said in a disclosure with ADC to seek state democracy and to prevent Nigeria to become a daily state.
PDP and LPs are also fighting the internal crisis that are believed to have been caused by external forces.
Analyst Shehu Illi Beast said Abuba Kar and Obi are learning the lessons of the last election.
“Atiku (Abubakar) and OBI felt that they were too close in 2023, and they might have won a joint ticket, so I would like to make a mistake by working together.”
Who is the other in ADC?
Getty imageIn the last election, Tinubu’s biggest challenger, Atiku Abubakar and Peter OBI, is the face of the union.
Although there is a long way to go before the candidate is officially announced, political commentators predict that the 78 -year -old Abba Kar will be shot in the presidential position. His fifth attempt was his former president’s former pick, and his fifth attempt with his former Governor of Anam Brah.
Other political heavyweights of the Union included former Senator David Mark. Atiku, a former Tinubu Ally, who is leaving the PDP, has left Nay Le El-Rufai and a powerful spectacular spectacular minister.
Is ADC a new party?
no. Politicians are already joining existing political parties, which have more abbreviations for ADA (All Democratic Alliance).
The party was originally named Alliance for the Democratic Party’s change in 2005, but it was renamed the African Democratic Parliament until the party was registered with the Nigerian Independent National Election Commission (INEC).
ADC’s Jamilu Danladi said it was skeptical about preparing ADA on time. So I went to ADC instead.
The candidate, DUMEBI KACHIKWU, ranked fifth in the last presidential election and currently has two parliamentarians at the bottom.
What is the opportunity for 2027?
Analyst Ben Kenneth believes that the coalition is more likely to defeat Tin Neu than last time.
“If you look at what ATIKU and OBI got in the last election, it is clear that you would have won when they assumed they worked together.
But another analyst, Sani Hamisu, believes that 73 -year -old Tinubu has a better chance than 2023.
“In Nigeria and Africa, it is very rare because it is rarely lost when the leader is in the second term, so he feels better when Tinubu is not in the office in 2019.”
Are you worried about the ruling party?
The ruling party said that the Union is not disturbed by the union that is not seen as a real threat.
The president of ALI Bukar Dalori told the BBC Hausa that the union would not affect the APC.
“Except for the rich, no one is talking about the union. Oh, in the rich man, he will be in the hotel and he will leave the country if he is defeated in the election.”
What are the main political parties talking about?
PDP, the largest opposition party in the country, has since preferred to face the APC and excluded joining the union.
The Labor Party also refused to plan to participate in the coalition and to maintain a decisive state of concentration and decisive state behind the party.
