A special Salmonella control analysis of certain imports into Norway revealed problems with sampling and documentation.

From June 2025 to March 2026, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet) investigated whether importers could prove that batches of products covered by a salmonella guarantee were free of the bacteria.
