Notion restores access to Anthropic after service outage.

Notion’s integration with Anthropic appears to have run into trouble this weekend.

Early Sunday morning, the company posted, “Anthropic’s Opus 4.7 and 4.8 models are experiencing performance degradation, which is leading to higher failure rates for users selecting these models in Notion AI.”

As a result, Notion said it was disabling the use of the “all humanity model” in its automated productivity tools.

Twelve hours later, Max Schoening, Notion’s head of product, wrote that he was “surprised” by “the number of people RTting this for talking about model quality.” (According to X public statistics, Notion’s post was reposted about 1,200 times.)

“The performance degradation resulted in a temporary service outage,” Schoening said. “This happens. It happens to Notion, GitHub, AWS, OpenClaw, and everything in between.”

He added that Notion has restored access to Anthropic’s models.

Meanwhile, Antropic officials said in a statement, “Due to a simple infrastructure issue, errors increased in several Claude models over a short period of time. This issue has since been resolved. We thank our users for their patience while we work to restore service.”
