Notts County 4 – 1 Grimsby

Dan Crawley's double, along with goals from Alasana Jatta and Jody Jones, gave Notts County a commanding 4-1 win at home to Grimsby.

Crowley almost gave the home team the lead when he broke through midfield and fired a shot past goalkeeper Jordan Wright.

Notts took an early lead and playmaker Crowley was involved again, his whipping cross into the area finding Jatta for his second goal of the season just six minutes later.

Crawley made it two nine minutes later, the midfielder scoring his first of the season.

The referee added six minutes to the half, Magpies' two goals increased to three, and Jones scored twice in three consecutive games.

Grimsby took control of the game just before half-time when Harvey Rodgers scored to make it 3-1 at the break.

Twelve minutes after the restart, Notts County added four more, Crawley's deflected shot past Wright to make it two goals on the evening.

Grimsby tried their best to show their potential in the second half, but the game ended 4-1 when the final whistle blew, leaving the away team in 16th place and the home team in 4th place in the league.
