Olympic athletes break their medals in joy
Games organizers are scrambling to fix the problem after Olympic athletes reported medals falling off their ribbons. This is not the first time there has been an Olympic medal issue. More than 100 athletes competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics have reported their medals have deteriorated.
“And there’s a ribbon. And there’s a little piece that goes into the ribbon to hold the medal in place. And yes, it fell off. Don’t jump in. I was so excited that I broke it. I’m sure someone will fix it. It’s not crazy broken, but it’s a little broken.”
