It is clear that we do not tolerate online hatred at SKY SPORTS here. Hate will not win.
As we said many times, Sky Sports welcomes everyone. This message is proud.
As we reported earlier this week, British tennis star Katie Boulter told the BBC about the terrible abuse she received. We are standing with Katie, which supports the government’s request to speak more to speech against abuse and to protect social media.
Alessia Russo reported and reported Alessia Russo, talking about how damaged social media posts were in preparation to represent the UK at the Swiss European Championships.
She will be interested in social media during the competition, but should she actually do it?
SKY SPORTS supports Russo and Lionesses to be able to compete in elite tournaments without being subject to online abuse.
Again, we say our position on online hatred.
- SKY SPORTS uses the power of voice to damage the size of online hatred and abuse and impact on people
- We are trying to eliminate many abuse and hateful opinions posted on skysports.com.
- We block users to bring hatred to the website’s opinion section and the channel of social media platforms.
- We will report hatred and abuse on social media platforms.
- We will report the most serious cases to the authorities.
- We try to make the sports conversation a place where we respect.
- We will continue journalism that shines light on social injustice and inequality in sports.
- We will work with social media platforms and policymakers to make the platform safer and more respected.
