I originally didn’t like mint. In fact, it wasn’t until I was an adult that I found the herb too stimulating. But we, or rather our taste profiles, make mistakes when we are young. Right? Now my taste buds can’t get enough of the refreshing mint sorbet, the fragrant Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies, and the refreshing York Peppermint Patties. Luckily, your moment to be the star of the hub is almost here, and now I’m fully on board to help you celebrate.
As March 17th, also known as St. Patrick’s Day, approaches, the menus are getting greener and the desserts are getting cooler. It’s the perfect time for a “do-it-yourself” day to get some peppermint glow. If you’re ready to find the tastiest mint treats at your favorite grocery store or fast food joint, you’re in luck. Because I know exactly where to start.
1. McDonald’s Shamrock Shake

McDonald’s celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Shamrock Shake in 2020 and announced that the snack is making another comeback. According to the restaurant chain’s website, the Mint Milkshake consists of vanilla low-fat ice cream, McDonald’s Secret Green Shamrock Shake syrup, and whipped light cream. Available in small, medium, and large sizes for a limited time. There’s no telling yet when the snack will disappear from the menu, so get yours as soon as possible.
2. Dairy Queen’s Mint Corn and Blizzard
Dairy Queen has introduced a new Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone that will be available for a limited time on February 23rd. This treat consists of a creamy vanilla soft serve dipped in a green mint flavored coating infused with chocolate cookie crumbles. Additionally, mint lovers’ favorite Mint Oreo Blizzard Treat is back on the menu. It comes with a mix of Oreo cookie pieces, crème de menthe (a sweet mint-flavored syrup), and DQ’s iconic soft serve. You can order through the chain’s mobile app or at participating restaurants nationwide.
3. Costco Double Chocolate Mint Sundae
Costco members are rushing to the warehouse to try the new Double Chocolate Mint Sundaes, which sell for $2.99 a box. The dessert is described on food court signs as a cup of mint ice cream, cookie crumbles, and chocolate sauce. There’s no word yet on how long the sundaes will be available, but they’re going viral on TikTok, so you might want to get your hands on the chocolate treat soon.
4. Wendy’s Thin Mint Frosty
Wendy’s customers were lucky. That’s because the fast food chain has relaunched its Thin Mints Frosty Swirl and launched a new Thin Mints Frosty Fusion. The vortex returns with the previous material. A mix of Wendy’s Vanilla Frosty with Mint Cookie Crumble Sauce, inspired by the famous Girl Scout Thin Mints. The fusion dessert also includes Wendy’s Vanilla Frosty with Mint Cookie Crumble Sauce, but also includes an additional Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie instead. But the best part about this news? You can order both with a chocolate frosty base instead of vanilla.
5. Crumble Cookie Festival Line
Okay, it’s not really confirmed yet, but Crumbl Cookies is coming to St. Louis. Rumor has it that they will be launching some sort of minty sweet product for Paddy’s Day. Last year, the cookie chain introduced a chocolate mint cake featuring Andes Créme de Menthe (a classic bite-sized candy with chocolate layers and a green mint center). The exact 2026 flavors won’t likely be released until early to mid-March, but similar to the current menu structure, the special treats will be available from approximately March 16th to March 21st. As long as it’s not mint, it’s a pretty safe bet that customers will be able to steal green cookies or Lucky Charms-inspired cookies.
