Luke Littler ended the gap between Luke Humphries at the top of the PDC Order of Merit after winning a dramatic final leg with Josh Rock in the Flanders Darts Trophy Final in Belgium.
Littler saw Damon Heta in the final leg crystaler and stephen bunting and James Wade in the Antwerp XPOB aside from Daryl Gurney 7-1.
The confrontation was the Betfred World Matchplay semi-final semi-final in the Black Pool last month, and Littler claimed to win 8-7 and registered the fourth PDC European tour title.
Little’s Flanders Darts Trophy Victory is his third career title in Belgium.
Littler recovered to 5-2 and recovered to drop five of the following six legs and climbed to Rock 7-6. The northern Irish were able to check out 161 in Bullseye to absorb the finals and respond to the finals.
Rock was thrown in the final leg shooting but quickly behind Littler. Littler won 96 games in 96 games, winning 11-darter.
“I think I’m okay, but it’s not the fastest,” Littler said. “Timing, cover shots, and doubles of the treble are all good.
“When Josh hit 161, it didn’t feel good. Then I just knew that I had to wake up and win the game. It may sound crazy, but I may like the last leg crystaler! I didn’t step back enough regardless of the dart. But I had to go out at 11 o’clock.”
Victory is Littler’s second PDC European Tour victory, fourth in his career, and in Belgium, three people moved to less than 250,000 pounds behind PDC Order of Merit.
Littler has already won the 2025 World Championship, UK Open, World Matchplay, and two PDC World Series titles, and has a chance to replace Humphries 1 before the title defense in Alexandra Palace for the next few months.
