When the noise and color of the two -month campaign sinks, the game of the throne between the two most powerful families in the Philippines resumes.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos JR and his vice president Sara Duterte were in battle for bitter discord and power.
As an alliance, they won the landslide victory in the last presidential election in 2022.
But as their relationship fractured -she accused her that she threatened to assassinate him, she dreamed of criticizing him with incompetence and destroying him.
And the result was not good news for Marcos Camp. In general, the Philippines’ incumbent president is mostly chosen for the Senate elected in the mid -term elections. The power of the presidential sponsorship was at least in the past.
But not this time.
Only six of the 12 Senators came from the Marcos allies, and Camille Villar was only half of the camp because he accepted the approval of Sara Duterte.
Four of the Senators are already in two terte camps, including Marcos. Two were ranked third ahead of Marcos.
For the president sitting, this is a bad result.
Senators are elected to a simple vote nationwide, which is a good sign of national opinion. As a result, he has been able to weaken the authority of the Marcos administration over the past three years of his term, and he has been questioned by impeaching Sara Duterte to disable Sarah Duterte.
The marcos-duterte relationship has almost worsened since the start of the administration three years ago. But this year was completely ruptured.
The decision that the president’s allies decided to begin impeachment in Congress was the first irreversible violation.
In March, President Marcos sent Sarah’s father, Rodrigo Du Terte, to the International Criminal Court. The police have now filed a criminal charges for her.
The gloves were turned off. The impeachment will be banned from Sarah Duterte in public office, ending the ambition to replace President Marcos in the next election.
She is now a leader, and there is no doubt that if he succeeds, he will use the power of the president to save revenge for Marcos.
However, the impeachment has had a great influence on both camps because two -thirds of the 24 -seat vote require voting.
The Philippines politics is a family business. Once the family achieves political power, it grabs it and passes it around the various generations.
There are about 200 influential families, but Dutertes and Marcoses are sitting at the top of the pyramid.
Marcos has been in politics for 80 years. The current president’s father ruled from 1965 to 1986.
IMELDA, the mother of Bongbong Marcos, voted in an election in a wheelchair at the age of 95 and is a much more infamous figure as well as shoe collections.

The same is true of Dutertes at their base in Davao at the other end of the country.
Even in the Hague’s prison, former President Duterte ran for Mayor Davao and easily won all voters despite being a real -size corrugated cutout.
Since his previous market was his son Sebastian, his absence would not matter. Duttertes has been the market of Davao for the last 37 years.
The problem facing the two camps is that the Senator is generally a big political family or a celebrity in itself. Many candidates come from the press or show biz background.
They have their own interests and ambitions. Even if an alliance with a camp is officially alliance, there is no guarantee that it will especially be loyal to the impeachment issue.

It’s hard to predict what’s going on now, but Marcos Camp is faced in the uphill battle to impeach Sara Duterte.
Of the 24 Senators, only a small number of presidents are loyal. The rest must be persuaded to go with it and will not be easy.
This election is already recorded, saying that Dutertes still has a public support in some regions, and some of the Marcos election allies already oppose the vice president’s impeachment. The same is true of 12 senators who did not have this year’s election.
One of the bright places of the president can be the elections of BAM Aquino and Francis Pangilinan Senator from the liberal wings of politics.
There were few polls that suggested the public’s needs for politicians outside the Marcos-Duterte Feud.
Not Marcos Clan’s friend-Liberal Party was the main opposite of Marcos-Double Terte Team in the 2022 election.
But they were strongly opposed to the powerful styles of the former president Durte, and in 2028, he might be afraid of his terrible daughter becoming president. It can be enough for them to vote for impeachment.
The impeachment test is expected to begin in July. Dutertes may be expected to openly remove the president’s assault authorities, and both camps will lobby vigorously behind the stage to take the Senate to the side.
In the Philippines, the president or vice -president have never successfully impeached. The president and vice president did not fall so badly.
