Pope Francis was shown on the window of twin seat hospitals in Rome and blessed for the first time since entering on February 14.
The 88 -year -old pope was discharged a few minutes later, and doctors say that at least two months of rest in the Vatican.
In the last five weeks, he said, Dr. Sergio Alfieri, one of the doctors who treat the pope.
Pope Francis has never been intubated and is always alert and oriented, Dr. Alfieri said. Although the Pope was not completely healed, he said he would no longer be pneumonia and return to work as soon as possible.
Roman Roberto Gualtieri, the market, told the BBC, “It’s a great joy and great feeling of seeing the Pope Francis leaves the hospital.”
The mayor said, “It’s a big gift for the city and the world … We support him and feel close to him.
Many people gathered outside the hospital on Sunday and waited for the pope to appear.
Bishop Larry Kulick said, “I felt honest when I saw him.” “I felt happy to see him.”
Roman singer ILARIA DELLA BIDIA said, “In this small square of this hospital, we always cried because the love we breathe was like heaven.
Anamatos, a Brazilian, said she arrived outside the hospital. “I felt amazing as I had a son. I was so happy to see him healthy and I could see him laugh.”
The Pope has seen the public once since he was admitted to the hospital in a photo released by the Vatican last week, and showed that he prayed in the hospital chapel.
Earlier this month, Pope Francis’s audio recording was held at St. Peter Square in Vatican City.
He thanked Catholics for prayer and could not breathe.
Pope Francis has spent 12 years as a leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
At the age of 21, he removed some of the lungs and suffered a lot of health problems during his life.
