Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a temporary ceasefire for the Ukrainian war.
Kremlin said the ceasefire will take place from May 8th to May 11th.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Ukraine demanded an immediate ceasefire of “at least 30 days.”
The White House said Donald Trump, who tried to broker the truce between the two sides, wanted to see a permanent ceasefire.
Kremlin announced a 30 -hour truce similar to Easter, but both sides reported rapidly deep dip in the battle, but blamed hundreds of violations.
In Ukraine, the armistice has been attempted more than 20 times. All failed and were fermented in a few minutes.
The most recent Easter was very limited, the battle was slightly reduced, and the two sides accused the ceasefire violation.
Kremlin said in a Monday statement that President Putin declared “a truce based on humanitarian consideration.”
The translation of the statement said: “Russia believes that Ukrainian should follow this example.
“If the Ukrainian truce is violated, the Russians’ troops will provide an appropriate and effective response.
“Russia once again eliminates the root cause of the Ukrainian crisis and declares preparation for peace talks without prerequisites, with the goal of constructive interaction with international partners.”
Sybiha, the Foreign Minister Ukraine, said, “If Russia truly wants peace, you must immediately stop the fire.”
“Why are you waiting until May 8?” He wrote on X. “The fire can be stopped now, and for 30 days, some dates are not only parade but also real.”
He said Ukraine said, “It is said that it is ready to continue, durable, and ready to support a complete ceasefire, and this is that we are constantly suggesting for 30 days.”
Caroline Levitit White House reporter said Trump said, “I’m getting more frustrated with the leaders of the two countries.”
“He wants to see a permanent truce.
“I understand that President Vladimir Putin provided a temporary ceasefire this morning. The president wanted to see a permanent ceasefire first to prevent murder.”
The latest announcement comes from the contents of the US as “very important” weekly for the Russian-Ukrainian peace talks.
The Washington tried to broker the transactions between the two sides, but the Donald Trump administration threatened to withdraw if the progress was not seen.
Putin wants to make a serious impression that Russia is serious about pursuing peace, and if Ukraine has accepted Washington’s offer for a 30 -day truce, Trump wants to hear the message.
It is after the US president expressed his annoyance with a continuous attack on Russia on Ukraine.
Russia began full -fledged invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and is currently controlling about 20%of Ukrainian territory, including the southern Crimean Peninsula, which Moscow joined in 2014.
