Synear Foods USA LLC, Chatsworth, California, is recalling 71,603 pounds of frozen NRTE Pork and Crab Soup Dumpling products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. This product contains peanuts, a known allergen not listed on the product label. People who are sensitive or allergic to peanuts may be at risk of developing a serious, potentially life-threatening reaction if they consume these products.
The frozen NRTE pork and crab dumpling products were produced between October 15, 2025 and February 23, 2026. The products subject to recall are:
- 13.23 ounces A plastic bag package containing “Synear SUPREME SOUP DUMPLING PORK & CRAB” and “BEST BY” with a date of October 15, 2026, November 10, 2026, December 23, 2026, January 26, 2027, or February 23, 2027.
- 375-g. A plastic bag package containing the words “Product of USA/Produit des E.-U” and “Synear SUPREME SOUP DUMPLING DUMPLINGS À LA SOUPE SUPRêME PORK & CRAB PORC ET CRABE” with an expiration date of 2026 OC 15 or 2027 JA 26.
The recalled products have the establishment number “EST. 45942” printed inside the USDA inspection mark. This item was shipped to retailers in California, New Jersey, and Washington. This product was also exported to Canada.
This problem was discovered by FSIS inspection staff during routine allergen identification work. FSIS staff determined that although the product was manufactured with peanut oil, peanuts were not listed on the finished product label. The facility determined that the labeling error was due to a change in formulation.
There are no confirmed reports of adverse effects from consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact their health care provider.
FSIS is concerned that some of the products may be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased the product in question are advised not to consume the product. These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
