It’s always a pleasure to photograph Rahul and Divya’s work. I also got to party hard at their after party, and it was nice to attend the ‘Fashion Week After Party’ for the first time in almost 10 years.
I was commissioned by the designer to photograph the backstage and runway of the Rahul Mishra NARGIS Couture Week 2024 presentation at The Ashok Hotel. Lisa Ray’s showstopper and Afreen-Afreen playing in the background will be one of the more memorable moments for a ’90s kid like me. And if you look at the original video of this song, it looks like it was shot in Kuldhara, Jaisalmer (probably). This will be another nostalgic hit for me personally.
The photos are shared in four parts: rehearsal, backstage photo story, runway photo story, and finally a photo story focusing on the details of some of the outfits.
Taken on Nikon D810 and D800 using 24-70mm F2.8 and 70-200mm F2.8 lenses. Post-production using Adobe Lightroom.
