Reunion and celebration following the release of four Israeli hostages

On October 7, four hostages kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova music festival were rescued in a daylight airstrike deep in central Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces said Noah Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomy Ziv, 41, were carrying out a “high-risk, complex mission” at two buildings in the Nuseirat district. He said he was released while carrying out a mission.

The IDF said the four were in good health and were taken to 'Sheva' Tel Hashomer Medical Center, where they were photographed hugging their families.

Many Palestinians, including children, were killed and injured in areas where the operation took place, with images and videos showing numerous casualties.

Hamas put the death toll in the densely populated area at more than 200, but this figure came from its media office and not medical sources.
