Virgin Limited Edition, the luxury travel brand owned by Richard Branson, is expanding its portfolio by acquiring part ownership of Finch Hattons Luxury Safari Camp. The 17-suite tented camp located in Kenya's Tsavo National Park will become the ninth property in the Virgin Limited Edition collection on July 1. The Gehlot family will retain partial ownership of the camp.
Finch Hattons features a dining pavilion, starry terrace, swimming pool, Chyulu Spa, open deck for yoga sessions and the cozy Karen Blixen lounge and bar. The camp also boasts views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Africa's only Shetani lava flow. The Gehlot family is also co-owners of Virgin Limited Edition's Mahali Mzuri camp in Kenya.
Tsavo National Park is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. Travelers can embark on early morning and late afternoon game drives to spot elephants, giraffes, and buffalo, or spend the day hiking the Chyulu Hills cloud forests, exploring ancient rock formations, discovering local Maasai traditions, or visiting the Rhino Sanctuary. .
The acquisition gives Virgin Limited Edition its fifth property in Africa and its second in Kenya. Finch Hattons will also become part of the Virgin Hotels Collection, a wider portfolio that includes both hotels and unique holiday destinations.
