How to make a Roasted Garlic Head Platter for an easy, delicious, and inexpensive side dish that boosts your immunity!

Roasted garlic head is one of the best side dishes to consistently serve during the winter season.
Garlic cloves, which contain immunity-boosting sulfur, become tender and delicious when roasted in the oven with a healthy fat of your choice.
Roasted garlic heads go amazingly well with steak for a low-carb option if you’re skipping the potatoes.
One of my kids makes it regularly as an inexpensive side dish in college. She got the idea from a local, independently owned steak restaurant where we take her to dinner when we’re in town.
Amazingly, she hasn’t gotten sick once since she started the regular practice of consuming several cloves of garlic with her home-cooked meals every week.
We adopted that dish at our house too.
We recommend you try this simple, economical and delicious way to keep your family healthy all winter long.
serving tips
Organic garlic is much cheaper and tastes much better than commercial garlic.
Sometimes, inside each clove of organic garlic there may be small green sprouts, which can be seen when you cut off the top of the head.
This is not a problem, garlic is still delicious and healthy when roasted.
I do not recommend using aluminum foil to wrap each head. This is a common method suggested in cookbooks or online.
A simple solution to prevent foil is to place the heads close together in a stainless steel pan and cover them with a smaller stainless pan before placing them in the oven (recipe photo below).

guideline
-
Cut off the top of each head of garlic. There is no need to peel the head first. Be sure to cut off enough of the top to expose each clove on the head.
-
Drizzle 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil over the top of each head, cut off to expose the clove.
-
Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on each oiled clove head.
-
Place each head greased side up in a stainless steel baking pan. Cover the cloves with a small pan to prevent them from burning. This is a simple method that doesn’t involve using aluminum foil.
-
Roast at 375°F/190°C for 1 hour or until the garlic cloves are lightly caramelized on top.
-
Remove the pan from the oven, place the roasted garlic heads on a plate and serve immediately. Remove each piece with a fork and enjoy each head on the table. After eating, lay the garlic head on its side and lightly press it with a knife to bring out the savory flavor of the roasted garlic even more!
-
Store any remaining heads in a glass container with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate them. Enjoy warm again for up to 5 days.
