Rock & Relax in Ibiza — The Collyer Twins

When you touch Ibiza, an overwhelming feeling comes over you. I feel excitement, anticipation, and a sense of belonging that I can’t quite put my finger on.

Ahead of the iconic 1,000-room hotel opening in London next spring, The Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, located in the south of the island, invited a small group of us to give them an exclusive taste of what to expect… ..Excited was an understatement!

While driving to the hotel, the taxi driver tricked us into thinking the hotel was 2 hours away, setting us up for a long and tedious journey, but less than 10-15 minutes later, he pulled up next to the huge ‘Hard Rock’ sign on the doorstep of the infamous ‘Ushuaia’ club and muttered, “It’s just a joke, we’re here!” We’re talking about convenience!

This is the first and most important reason why I went, stayed and experienced the amazing Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza. We stayed there for 3 nights…

music –

Now, one thing this hotel does not lack is music. Souvenirs, live performances, amazing sound systems, parties, DJs, underwater sound systems, welcome music gifts! As the name suggests, the heart of this hotel is music.

Celebrities from all over the world find inspiration here. We were given a souvenir tour of the hotel, which was very interesting. Many famous actors have stayed or played here, and everything from Elton John to Lady Gaga to the Beetles have had their costumes and costumes at the hotel.

Even the room is filled with musical aspects. You can change the mood by changing the lights above the bed, have an amazing sound system, and upon arrival, the room had an electric guitar and vinyl player. I mean, I wish we knew how to play both, but isn’t that pretty cool?

We were in our element.

location –

Now think about all the reasons you chose to go to Ibiza. (That’s the whole reason we would do it anyway…)

Beach bars, clubs, DJs, restaurants, events, sunsets, beaches… luckily, Hard Rock has it all at your disposal.

Right next to the infamous Ushuaia and with uplifting beats and music all day long, this hotel is set against the backdrop of the famous El Chiringuito Beach. A 10-minute drive away is the famous Experimental beach bar, famous for its beautiful sunsets over the island. A further 12-minute drive takes you to El Chiringuito beach bar for lunch. The atmosphere is really nice and the food is great. Just minutes from your hotel doorstep you can dance the night away at the famous HII Ibiza. There we danced the night away to Eric Prydz’s closing set… Or, if you’re feeling lazy, just roll out of bed and you’ll most likely be in Ushuaia. There you can see most of the best music acts playing from dusk till dawn.

meal –

So the first night Jordan and I arrived we had dinner at a beach club outside our hotel.

Beautifully finished in white, the rustic décor exudes all the elements of chic amidst the gentle evening sea breeze. An ideal place for a cold dinner. We ordered sea bass and vegetables, which Jordan described as ‘the best sea bass’ he’s ever had. Freshly caught and beautifully seasoned, this is a must-try! We had lunch here one afternoon and it was delicious with a variety of Mediterranean options. PS – Go eat octopus during lunch. It tastes like fish.

Last night we ate at Tatel restaurant. With restaurants in Madrid and Miami, it is a leader in traditional Spanish cuisine. I ordered an amazing black rice dish with squid, but what impressed me more than the food was the 1920s style restaurant atmosphere and interior. I felt like I had entered a scene from The Great Gatsby, surrounded by the glitz and glamor of the Prohibition era. We spent the first 30 minutes in awe of the decorations. I definitely get a lot of inspiration when decorating my home…

Rooftop Bar –

Now, if you’re looking for delicious cocktails, amazing sunset views, cool beats, and a great way to start the night, the Hard Rock rooftop bar is the place to be.

Jordan and I arrived just in time for sunset our first evening, so we decided to go for a drink or two. From the top you can see the entire south side of the island and you can also see all the planes flying over the sunset and there is the moon on the other side and when we were there we were lucky enough to see the full moon. What a view…

PS – Buy an Old Fashioned cocktail. I’m not usually a whiskey fan, but their whiskey is special!

If you love music, love to party and love the magical island of Ibiza, The Hard Rock is the place to be.
Fantastic food, bar, location, music and atmosphere. It’s all here baby!

Thank you so much for staying at Hard Rock! We are so excited for the opening of our London property!
