Chris Kirk (65), Philip Knowles 64 and Andrew Putnam 66 share 14 to 2nd round leads. Jackson Suber (65) was another shooting.
After sharing the 18 -hole lead with Kevin Roy, the 70 -year -old ALDRICH POTGIETER recorded a record 62, and Mark Hubbard was another stroke behind the leader.
KNAPP took three shots in the third round, including Collin Morikawa (64), Hideki Matsuyama (66) and Roy 71.
The 31 -year -old KNAPP, who won the Mexican Open last year, opened in 72 and started 130th in the 156 player field.
“I would have been angry this morning all night. So I think it would have helped me a little,” he said.
KNAPP, who ranked 99th in the world, was the only player who shot more than 61 in the second round of this season.
He scored 59 points in the 58 tour scoring record set by JIM Furyk in 2016.
KNAPP broke the 18 -hole record from the Detroit Golf Club and started on Thursday in the first round when the Potgieter and Roy shot 62.
KNAPP said, “I want to make more things when I start making a birdie.” “I thought about 59 when I was 59 years old.”
The 28 -year -old Knowles did the third time in 11 events after failing on weekends at five continuous tournaments taken to win his first PGA Tour.
“It’s not the best year as the imagination increases so far, but golf is fun,” he said. “When you play a bad game, you don’t feel like you’re going to play a good game again. And when you have a few days like today, you don’t understand how you can shoot bad golf rounds.”
Last year, Kirk, a 40 -year -old tournament at KAPALUA, held a second round with three consecutive birdies and finished with nine birdies and two chests.
Most of the leaders were in the Morning Group, which had a more favorable condition and an exception to putt Namdo.
In the afternoon of putt, the wind was stiff, hot and steamed on a swirl. He began to be strong with three birdies and the front 9 Bogey, and only one birdie was later, and he was able to win the first PGA Tour event since 2018.
“The wind came out, and I got some tricky holes,” he said.
