Ryan Routh, accused of assassinating Donald Trump in September, was forced to end his remarks for a few minutes in his opening statement.
Introductory statements are generally used to preview the evidence and arguments of the rest of the trial. The first witness, Robert Fercano, was a member of Trump’s secret service details. He testified in September how he found a man hiding around Trump’s West Palm Beach Golf Course.
