Ryoko Haraguchi of GoodEarth Khan Market

Mask on and off for the enjoyment of the eyes. I saw a post on my Instagram explore feed and had to go see the work in person. The GoodEarth store in Khan Market has always been a personal favorite visual treat. And it seemed like ages had passed since I had laid eyes on the beautiful Indian costumes. This is a collaboration work with Japanese textile designer Ryoko Haraguchi. This work combines Japanese dyeing techniques with Indian fabrics and Indian clothing.

The brooches in some of the pieces were an unexpected surprise! (After drawing my own art brooch, I can now see brooches everywhere!)

The collection is called SIND and uses silk fabric in all of its pieces. But some of the best pieces are already sold out. I wasn’t surprised by that.

The Instagram post that led me to visit the store is as follows.
