Caramel apple, crispy reasons for our guy, are crispy:
When autumn arrives, when the air becomes crispy, there is a magical work in my kitchen. My children start hovering every time I take off my apology. I want to create a “good dessert”. This is called the pickled caramel apple crisp. After many years of other apple desserts, this has become an indescribable autumn tradition of our family.
The secret is the perfect combination of sweetness and tart apples, and the caramel, which is pickled with enough salt, is not overwhelming and special. The most important part? It is a simple recipe that almost always uses the materials you have. In other words, you can actually enjoy the process instead of emphasizing complex skills while dinner is still sitting in the sink.
Caramel apple crispy method pickled with perfect salt:
Select the correct Apple combination
Using all of the tart granny smith and the Sweet Honeycrisp Apples provides a balance of taste that keeps all your mouths interesting. Grandmother Smith is beautifully shaped during baking and provides essential tart varieties, while Honeycrisp adds natural sweetness and slightly soft texture. I tried this with one diversity, and I don’t have the same depth taste so that everyone can go back for a few seconds.
Keep the butter cold to be perfectly broken
The key to getting a perfectly broken topping that doesn’t turn into a dense layer is to keep the butter cold until the last minute. I actually cube my butter and put it back in the refrigerator while preparing the apple, then put it in the oat mixture with my fingers until it looks like a rough crumb. When a cold butter hits the oven heat, a lovely small pocket is created that makes the toppings not heavy and light and crispy.
Do not skip the break time
The 10 -minute cooling period after drawing from the oven is not only to avoid burns, but also when all flavors are melted together and caramel settles in perfect consistency. My children always want to jump right away, but waiting for a few minutes means the difference between the perfectly set dessert that the water is caught when it is embedded.
