Saudi Arabia's state-owned Saudia Group has ordered 105 Airbus narrow-body aircraft.
The order consists of 12 A320neo and 93 A321neo aircraft, bringing Saudia Group's order backlog to 144 A320neo family aircraft.
Saudia said the increase in its fleet was aimed at supporting the kingdom's ambitious tourism plans. The kingdom is targeting 150 million domestic and foreign tourists per year by 2030, up from 106.2 million last year. In 2023, Vietnam reported 27.4 million international visitors.
According to Planespotters.net, Saudia currently has 163 aircraft and Flyadeal has 35 aircraft.
