Seabourn sells a second ship to the Japanese cruise line MITSUI OCEAN Cruises.
Seabourn sojourn is sold to Mitsui, a subsidiary of the Mitsui OSK line. MITSUI has already operated the 458 -seater Mitsui Ocean Fuji, a former Seabourn Odyssey, which provided service to MITSUI in December.
Passengers booked in Sojourn Sailings by May 2026 will continue to sail under the Seabourn brand, Seabourn will commit ships in MITSUI and operate a navigation published until the end of the World Cruise, which ends on May 15, 2026.
Sojourn said it will be delivered to MITSUI after the charter period, and Seabourn will be deployed in a market where new owners do not compete with ships at sea. Guests and travel advisors who have reservations affected after the handover date receive more details of changing or backing options from Seabourn.
“This transition will have one of the youngest and most modern fleets in business,” said Mark Tamis, President of Mark Tamis.
“We are proud of that we will continue our journey with Mitsui Ocean Cruises after 16 years in the fleet for 16 years. “Next year, we will find a special way to celebrate the heritage of Sojourn with customers and crew.”
MITSUI said last month that it had partnered with US agencies and promoted Fuji’s reservation in North America.
